Metal Clad Medium Voltage Switchgear up to 24kV

T.M. has realized and tested TMclad an Medium Voltage air-insulated switchgear for primary distribution. It’s composed by modular prefabricated unit for interior, combinable with a metallic shell, module/container TMPowerCube, and equipped with extractable circuit breaker in SF6 or vacuum type. Those devices are interchangeable inside the same unit.

Medium Voltage Switchgear up to 24kV

They are available in two different versions: TMPC / M and TMPC / E and they are pre-assembled and tested at the factory and allows the creation of frameworks in accordance with IEC 62271-200, IEC 60694, IEC 17-1, CEI 17-6.
  • TMPC / M: complete module including the access compartment for cables which could be arranged for withdrawable VT.
  • TMPC / E: container without the cell-free cables access and so without the possibility of including a withdrawable VT, but thanks to its smaller size is more flexible and is useful for the creation of double-level switchboard. It’s the perfect solution for medium voltage in case of small spaces.
TMclad main characteristics:
  • Vast range of functional unit.
  • Modular and gearing of electric and mechanic interlocks for the maximum security.
  • Simplicity of Installation and maintenance.
Available with:
  • Rated voltage: up to 24KV.
  • Rated current: 630A - 4000A.
  • Rated short-time withstand current of the main circuit: 25kA 3sec. - 40KA 3sec. - 50KA 1sec.
  • Internal Arc up to 31,5kA 1sec.
  • Standard External protection degree: IP30, other IP degrees under request.
In TMPowerCube modules It’s possible to install the following devices. Vacuum circuit breaker, SF6 circuit breaker, Vacuum Contactors, service and earthing modules: VD4, VM1 and Vmax series, HD4, V-Contact VSC, each operation is performed on the front of the module/container. Thanks to its characteristics, TMclad range is perfect for every kind of needs guaranteeing service continuity and personnel security.

How Forklift Fleet Management Systems Can Bring Flexibility & Agility to Your Supply Chain

Important lesson that has risen to the top is the precarious balance between supply and demand and the potential danger of having a supply chain that is too lean. While there are benefits to a lean approach, the pandemic has shown the limitations that could occur as many supply chains were caught off-guard, lacking the flexibility and agility to quickly react to changing market demands and conditions. Many companies struggled to get their supply chains back on track, with some still confronting challenges as we entered the holiday shipping season. There are a number of strategic steps you can take to enhance your supply chain with greater flexibility and agility. When it comes to your material handling equipment needs, the best step you can take is implementing a forklift fleet and operator management system. When utilized effectively, the right system can guide and inform an approach that increases flexibility and agility while helping maintain lean principles and identifying o

Crown Forklift Battery Maintenance Tips

The biggest headache in any operation is downtime. When not properly maintained, batteries can cause forklift downtime for charging, maintenance or even replacement. Proper maintenance of your forklift batteries and chargers is crucial to keeping your operation up and running. Forklift Battery Hazards and Problems Weak or Bad Cell - An undetected weak or bad cell will cause more battery changes and overheating, shortening the life of the battery for your forklift or lift truck. Corrosion - A dirty or corroded battery creates heat buildup that can decrease run time, shorten the battery’s life, and lead to other significant safety hazards. Damaged Cables - Damaged cables and connectors increase maintenance costs due to false voltage and amp readings, causing intermittent codes and diagnostic problems. Improper Charging - Improper charging practices can increase charging frequency and shorten the life of your battery. When You Install or Change a Battery Turn the truck OFF and c

Vacuum Circuit Breaker vs SF6 Circuit Breaker

Two kinds of circuit breakers commonly used in 10kV power distribution system In the electrical design of civil buildings, the following two circuit breakers are commonly used in 10kV systems. Vacuum interrupters are widely used in utility power transmission systems, power generation unit, and power-distribution systems for railways, arc furnace applications, and industrial plants. Sulfur hexafluoride circuit breakers protect electrical power stations and distribution systems by interrupting electric currents, when tripped by a protective relay. Instead of oil, air, or a vacuum, a sulfur hexafluoride circuit breaker uses sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas to cool and quench the arc on opening a circuit. Vacuum Circuit Breaker The contact of the vacuum circuit breaker, as Tavrida Electric , cuts off the circuit in the high vacuum arc extinguishing chamber, and the insulating medium and the arc extinguishing medium used are high vacuum air. There is basically no substance that can
